I say no just because:

A) Something like the marriage thread exists
B) More time could be invested by SE into other projects
C) With something like this and other dating finders(?), it'd be easier to be catphished/catphish
D) If you really wanted to, you can just advertise yourself over Party Finder, even more with cross-server (although there are limitations to this since its only people from the same data center)

Disagree with me if you want, but these are just my personal opinions. Also I notice that if you actively look for someone, it hardly ever works out. That being said, it's not always true. At the end of the day, I think finding your lover/someone special is something that takes time and happens out of the blue. Just think of it as a pleasant surprise so you don't set yourself up for disappointment!

It's because that thread exists shows a huge interest in a match making system. They didn't have to make a world Party finder, after all the forums exist.

The point of it all, the match making, the party finder, the raid finder etc, is for convenience for a service that has a pretty high demand.

B) More time could be invested by SE into other projects

I could say the same thing about Lord of Vermilion and some of the holiday events. Yet. I understand not everything implemented in the game is solely just for me alone. I would agree with your point if I was the only one interested in such a system. However. . . . As the reason stated above, there is interest.

Can you explain to me what you mean by this? Sorry I'm not following. I need further clarification.

Instead of organizing players who are interested in this, you'd rather have us continue to use the Party Finder, cluttering it up with even more ads you prolly aren't interested in or even want to see. To me it sounds like you don't mind players doing anything in regards to match making or finding an eternal bond. It's just you're not comfortable with SE dedicating the time to make a system to better the many voices who may like this.

But match making does take time. You don't just "Oh lets get married because the system paired us". Of course not. This is a way to bring together two people with the same interests. If they don't like each other, tough. They can move on and find another. If they like each other but they aren't interested in doing an EB. Fine. They just received a new friend.

Not everybody does the approach you would like others to do. Even with the marriage partner thread, I bet you there are A LOT of players who aren't comfortable posting on it. This gives them a way to step outside of their comfort levels.

I dont see any reason that would require such a system. We have the forums, even more so the PF. I dont understand why the game would have to do all the match making for us - specially in a context like this when it isnt really about the "content" itself but more about doing it with someone whos in some way meaningful to you - I dont see why its the devs/games job to find someone like that for you...

NO..just NO...you want to spend time doing your rp bullshit and marriying and warever its your problem, not of us want to do that...And most would feel obligated to becase of you know, rewards. For people who realy want that however and know their way around programing, why not create like a 'tinder website' that match you with people from your server? would be much better than implementing it on the actual game.

(there are some who would literaly sarifice virgins if it meant they could get glamour pieces, no matter how ugly those are, yokai watch event proved us that)

The game has already went to the extent of adding RP tags, icons and even marriage.
