Actually if you would like to know what I learned about a lot of the commentators of this thread. The "Hunting for any little part of posts that might attack you" is a double standard.



Apparently If I were to say something completely out of line, it is everyone's right to criticize me.

If someone were to say something out of line, and I were to call it out just like the rest of us mere mortals in the world. Shame on me then.



I also learned how the opinions here can be a bit Dogmatic or opinionated. Which does lead to an unhealthy conversation. Hence the one were on now.


And to be fair, a lot of the people who aren't posting on this thread, are telling me "Yeah it looks like they won't leave you alone, but I don't want to get in the thicket because they'll target me for defending you looool".

I wouldn't get far in life if someone keeps telling me to forget my ideas and what I'm working for. I'm not sure if you've submitted to that kind of life style or if that's the way you grew up.

You're basically repeating what a lot of the Minority groups wen't through when they've tried to obtain equal rights.

Me asking for a Buddy system or w/e does not call for Persecution, Trolls, harassment and such utter disrespect.

It shows quite a bit of disrespect to everyone who disagreed with you within the first few posts. Why are you surprised that people arent treating you with respect if this is one of the first things they're reading about you?
Also, again, if you dont want this thread to be about yourself: Stop making it about yourself and post on the actual topic or leave it be.

I would like to engange in a discussion but right now I would only be repeating my old arguments because you havent given me anything to conter yet.

So, on topic: No, any sort of friend/lover/partner-finder as it was proposed in this thread is a bad idea for a number of reasons, just one of them being minors and that you cant just queue up for a friend. Also: personal affairs like that shouldnt be any of SEs buisness in my opinion.
I can think of ideas going into that direction that would actually work - I mentioned them pages ago, quick summary: a better mentor system and some sort of FC/LS-board where you can register your FC/LS if you want so people can find like minded people easier and join their groups. Important here: Mentor-system would be a professional realtionship, not a personal one and FC/LS would aboute finding like minded GROUPS (in within you can maybe find a good friend if you're lucky) - pairing one person with only one other person doesnt seem like the way to go here.

To be honest, if we never got suggestions that were shot down on the forums added into the game, we'd basically only ever get glamour changes. The community really does like to nitpick every suggestion and tell why 99% of the suggestion won't work because 1% of it won't work.

So if he truly believes this suggestion is a good idea, he has every reason and right to continue to defend it. The forum community can be overly harsh towards new ideas.

In your case based on what you posted here, I could of assumed a lot of things to make a point. I chose not to as I ain't as terrible as most of you are. Put yourself in my shoes for a moment and see what would happen if I told everybody I've been diagnosed with a social anxiety disorder. You'd think that wouldn't be tempting enough for people to start preying on it through the comments?
