Thread: FFXIV MAC - Had several kernel panic after my recent update.

Game is loading properly up to character selection then the first try of loading some map - things loaded properly until it crash when I load my main char in Limsa.

UPDATE: Solved

I tried to reseat my newly installed memories and not getting the Kernel Panic anymore.

Also rearrange it to from (top to bottom of imac): 16gb - 8gb - 16gb - 8GB. This is also a workstation thats why i use such large memory both for work and little of gaming.

Conclusion:
So the weird kernel panic crashes maybe caused by improperly seated memory that require reinstalling or memory slot grouping. Im not quite sure which is which but I tried both tests and all is working now.

The kernel panic affected also windows game loaded using CrossoverGames. So the error mentioned above maybe encountered by others but is not really related directly to Final Fantasy XIV. So it's hardware issue than app issue.

Hey! Im so glad somebody else mentioned this! I too have had this EXACT same issue myself and have no idea how to fix the problem. This is coupled with the client itself crashing multiple times a day without warning. Up until this point I have had 0 issues with the mac version of FFXIV.

However, upon further glance, I do not know how to go about applying your workaround to my situation. I am using a 15in Late 2011 Macbook Pro and do not know how to 'reseat' my computer's memory.
