I like it. Not everything has to be available to everybody and it encourages the developers to focus on creating some gear that is specifically for one gender over the other. Quite a bit of gear that is designed for 'both genders' ends up being very feminine/androgynous which is fine in moderation but not great for those who prefer a masculine aesthetic.

Are you serious? That makes no sense.

He's not wrong when he says that a lot of gear ends up androgynous due to lack of limitations on wearability. Not that androgyny is a bad thing, but he's not wrong.

IMO making 2 version(M/F) for the same piece is better than same version with two outlook for M/F.

It does when you consider that a lot of the 'unisex' stuff is specifically designed to be very feminine/adrogynous. This is particularly apparent with hairstyles - and it's very telling that some of the most vocal supporters of the gender lock being removed tend to play characters that fit that aesthetic. Balance is key. Too much and it risks alienating those of us who prefer to see some sets designed with either the male or female form in mind.

Take name generation for example: Nobody bats an eye at the fact that every race has its own naming habits and that those are presented all throughout the game. Strange no? It's because you don't have to abide by it - you can take any name you like. And therein lies quite an important difference.

So nobody is actually trying to infringe on the rights of creators and that argument really is a strawman.
In this sense, i mean to bring the fact that in the Garo mythos things are done a certain way. One may hate it, however in that world a female Maki Knight does not exist, pries and priestess are classified as such and have different sets of gear. That was what they envisioned for their creation.

It may just be a spin on the Mahou Shoujo ("magical girl") genre, but it is their IP all the same.

My problem with it is that for summoners for example, if you get the male version and later you use fantasia and become female, you'll have to buy the female version as well >_>

They should add it to the NPC who lets you trade male for female gear and vice-versa.

Bring that up with the people in charge of Garo. Since it's their content originally, they no doubt had rules regarding how their content was used.

I think this is why. It's the very first time all jobs have something that wasn't designed with only female characters in mind: I'm sorry for you, but female characters have multiple vanity options.. this time they gave something different to males.. I don't think it will happen again, plus Garo is a trademarked brand so i guess they had to follow some external guideline... if so, I wouldn't be surprise.
