[Gamepad] How to assign items toy the expanded hot bar? (L2/R2 double tap)

Ok I gave up in disgust after the patch that introduced this new gamepad expanded hotbar system cause I couldnt figure out at ALL how to assign skills to it.

Now I have it enabled cause when I hold L2/R2 or double tap either, I get the extra hotbar to use from.

However I cant assign anything to it? Ive tried using "Back", Tried drag and drop, tried being in assign more and double tapping but the extra bar doesnt show.

So what on earth and how do I get this working?

As for SE... would be nice if they could make this lil easier to figure out.

I think you have to go back into the settings and choose which bars show up when you double tap. The same as when you choose which bars show up when you use the "l2+r2" hotbar.

The bars show up, thats not the issue. The issue is trying to assign stuff TO them. All I get are the default stuff.

The double tap is only a shortcut for one of your 8 cross-hotbar.

So, once you chose which hotbar is linked to the double-tap, just select that hotbar manually and put skills on it.

Ok now I see, and for others to know this.

By default, Its set to "Hotbar 8" which if you hold R1 and press D-Pad Left, you can access it. Then edit that out. Then go back to "1" if you use that and then when you use the L2/R2 stuff, it uses the new stuff.
