    Ifrit Loot System Fix - When? & Loot System Suggestion for Future

    Is there any plan to adjust the way the loot system for the Ifrit fight currently works? It is frustrating approaching 100 wins and getting nothing but duplicates of stuff you can't use. I see lots of players who are skilled with a lot of experience in this situation. At the same time, I see lot of players who are basically still new at this who still die from simple things such as dash and can barely survive any eruptions/plumes at all - basically get carried to victories by more experienced players or LS mates (often while dead in the arena most of the fight), and have like 5/7 weapons after like 15 wins.... adding to the annoyance factor even more. I can't be the only one who sees something really wrong with this.

    I made a suggestion in another post of how loot for these type of battles should be handled:

    Why not give each player (with a lantern) a random chance to obtain a special "currency" (the currency would be untradeable) from the chest instead of a weapon. The weapons could then be acqured from an NPC by trading in a certain amount of that currency. I think this would work vastlly better than the current loot system.

    I really hope yoshi will look at this thread.. i totally agree on this.. been spamming for 3 weeks + and i got the same crap. I know SE use this as some kind of delaying strategy.. but this is too much... spent all night on this thing and end up got nothing.

    yea i have like 80-90 wins lost count, and i know it gets annoying when the one weapon im missing (the cudgel for my main class, the only one i wanted in the first place) drops to someone on their first win. The tank in my ls has gotten 8 cudgels in a row before getting another weapon.. makes me wanna strangle him sometimes lol

    i just wish that duplicates would go into the loot treasure.
    i mean, i don't have a problem with some luck, but after currently 153 runs without a single axe, but seeing endless duplicated axes droping to friends i'm getting seriously frustrated.

    just for records i got

    2 x harpoon
    4 x bow
    2 x cugle
    1 x cane
    1 x blade
    1 x claw

    my first weapon dropped on my 4th kill, my 2nd on my 27th, and my 3rd on my 88th run, which were harpoon > bow > blade.
    after that i got dupes untill somewhere at 120th kill, then i started getting cane, cudgles & claw untill now.

    either open loot treasure for dupes or let me trade my dupes for weapons that i actually want.

    Reply from Yoshida: there might be some "items" awarded after an ifrit win in 1.20, which can be used to trade for an ifrit weapon. More important, these "items" can be given to party members. There will also be some improvement on party items allocation.

    can't wait for 1.20. Hmmmm...better save my tapers till 1.20 comes. 1 bow/60~wins now

    I really dislike this system :/ I feel like the current drop rate is fine on these items, all that needs to be done is to make the items drop to a loot list rather than directly into your inventory. They're still U/U, but you have the chance to trade them off to someone who could better use it, just like Batraal's drops worked. It's a MUCH simpler way to fix the problem while we're waiting for the need/greed/pass system to be implemented.

    A system like this means that, rather than fighting for the chance to get an item, people will just put down quotas for kill depending on how many are needed to buy certain items. It sort of takes away from the fight, imho :I It's just over-complicated and not really necessary when a simple drop to loot fix would vastly alleviate the '0/70 while others get duplicates' problem.

    There is a fix to the ifrit weapons!!! Its another battle with moogles that drop more weapons!! So now you dont have to do ifrit anymore!!

    I'm pretty sure that if they implement the ticket-like system, it's going to be in place for all future Primals.
