Ugh, neither the DRK or the AST weapon appeals to me at all. I guess BRD will be the only one of the three I've done that I actually bother going after for looks...

I can understand people not liking these compared to the grandiose designs we've seen before from anima weapons... but I really like that axe. If they do change it I hope this style gets used elsewhere.

WAR looks terrible. What the. The first relic, Bravura was actually touched up later, weird that it was the axe before that had to be modified and this time people don't like the axe again.

That's not fully true. Once i275 and with the right substats it's BiS by far, doesn't change that the weapon should look at least decent for the amount of hours put into it.

I meant it's the go-to glamour weapon because it's basically a shiny trophy that should look as such. If it looks like a lv20 axe when it's on your back (or as a SCH, like a public library book...) then it's not all that special. I don't want something that only looks cool when it's unsheathed.

Yeah this is my feeling on the subject. I very recently decided to switch from DRK to WAR (so my static wouldn't have double DRK) and got the Sharpened Axe of the Blood Emperor literally the Sunday before patch, and I'm a bit disappointed by how uninspired the next step is. It really does just look like a level 20 axe on my back, and even the glow is not very impressive (especially compared to some of the other relics).

On the plus side, this is exactly the situation that glamour is for.

Taste is entirely objective. One persons bad is another person's awesome. I have hated every BRD anima till this one but I have an FC member that swears they are the best things ever.

Its also probably worth pointing out there might be another version to come. There is a 275 step coming in 3.55, in about 6 weeks time.
