It will not give me incentive to join PvP. I do not care for it at all, I will just wait till the MGP vendor is added. Nothing they do will get me to join PvP.THANK YOU for not caving, and adding the MGP vendor in earlier thus crushing PVP while it now lives.
We need this gear as incentive, to attract new people. I hope the MGP is a higher cost, in comparison to the Wolf Marks. The Wolf Marks cost is extremely low as is, and it only takes a few matches for each set, this is MILES better than the Yokai event.
Please do not offer the mounts for MGP.
Yours sincerely, a person who isn't a PVP enthusiast, but a person who realizes that the PVP community need incentives and rewards to keep it active.
Edit: Wow never knew there was a post count, I'm all done for today ;(

so MGP not till march huh? hopeful not 60lvl set like the pvp stuff cause that bite as few jobs don't want to lvl that high and if you need all set achievement for the 3rd mount most likely won't be getting it if that is the case anyway
Eh, as tempting as it is to push through the pain for the dyeable's, I'm just not sure I can. The garo non heavy gear does look really good but, 14's pvp is just such a snoozefest. Dunno if I could farm so much for them. Think I'll prolly just wait for the MGP version ;p

None of the gear goes into the armoire, right? Then it must not be a limited time event? I was kind of thinking this was like the ilevel 160 gear from Tactics Orge. They've got a new artist, and they are celebrating his involvement by putting his favorite designs in the game.

Good for you. However the common census is that pvp queues are a lot more populated, and dare I say fast, this patch, and Garo is a big part of that. Pomelo is right that the MGP vendor would be extremely detrimental to the pvp surge.
They official word is that the event will be "longer than yokai" (Tokyo fanfest is the source), which in my opinion means that it will be available throughout 3.5, right up until stormblood is released, but no longer than that. Considering this is a collaboration, I find it hard to believe that it would be permenant.Given that unlike every other event there is something like this ( http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...7/Heavensturn/ ) for it, its most likely a permanent thing.

Why don't just do PvP? I've seen a lot of suicidals running into the opposition side to get killed, to end the match in 2 minutes. They probably put some rubber band on their analog stick to do so.

They say 3.55 was in february but the story will continue in march if i remember correctly

Loving the PVP surge. My queues went from 10+ hours (not even kidding) to 10-20 minutes, and I can fill up on 8v8 Feast much faster if I want as that has almost instant queues (it was dead a week ago). I don't really like 8v8 Feast but it certainly beats standing in Limsa looking at the marketboard and waiting; maybe I'll actually get more skilled again now I can play more than two games per week.
It would be great to know the plan for the event though; if the titles are staying PVP-exclusive I need to start levelling my unloved melee jobs since I can't actually equip some of the new gear yet. So it would be nice to know if I should be prioritising that instead of just wallowing in the tempory PVP revival. I even saw Seal Rock again the other day. I'd missed it!
Excactly, I already got 3 pieces (doing it only for glam ^^") with...maybe 2 or 3 games ^^I mean honestly, The MGP vendor would be cool and all, but I think its much easier to get the gear in PVP than people realize.
Doing Shatter, I got 1100 Wolf marks from a win yesterday, and cause I did it from the frontline roulette, that was an extra 1000 wolf marks. It's almost mindlessly easy to get the full set right now.
not to mention the challenge log wolf marks for the week
Aren't affraid of regretting not getting the dyable version ? :/
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

It's a shame that they don't offer an alternative method to get the dyeable version. There are going to be others like me, who have no idea what to do or how, with a life expectancy of twelve seconds, just waiting for every single death (we're bait), taking a spot in the battle from someone who might genuinely care about pvp.
And once I have the pieces I want, I'll happily drop pvp again, because it's not fun. It's an incredible bore.
