That's the closest I've been able to find; none of the Live Letter links or translations that I found mentioned it being time-limited. Obviously Yoshi-P's statement there would still be true if it wasn't time-limited, and it's also possible that they've changed their plans since Fanfest.

It's worth noting:

• the achievements were added to the Items section, not the Seasonal Events section (where the Yokai achievements, and all other time-limited event achievements, reside)
• we knew the end date for the Yokai event before it even started, but have been giving no such date for this
• the Dev Blog doesn't make any mention of it being time-limited

Sorry, I was responding to the specific circumstance of the poster I quoted, not your OP. They were trying to convince someone in the thread to just try PVP since the MGP vendor wasn't in yet, but the player was adamantly against it and I think there's not much point in trying to convince people who are clearly opposed to it. Sorry if that wasn't clear, but I did specifically quote the person I was responding to, not your OP.

Well as it turns out I can gather light for my relic by doing pvp and since I want the garo armor I can kill two birds with one stone. Guess I'll just queue up and hang back until the matches end. Stay out of the way of the people that want to pvp.

If DRK is your main, tanks are the worst caster/healer annoyances possible, or at least they were when I played. Stick on one and keep tapping them so they can't cast, and you'll be helping even if you're not actually killing people. In Seize DRKs with their Unleash spam could single-handedly hold a tomelith for like a full minute straight, but most matches are gonna be Shatter now, not Seize. Others might have better advice, but I'm sure there's ways you can actually contribute without putting yourself too much in danger as a tank. Just don't afk - that's incredibly rude to the people who are actually there to play, especially considering that the Garo mount needs wins to get, not just matches played.

Well to get the aetheric density for my anima weapon (I got the pld one) so I'll have to queue as pld only. I'll take your advice on sitting on a caster and while I won't take the PVP seriously, I won't afk. I'm not too worried about the mounts so much as the armor, but we'll see I guess!
