Don't like the new button layouts, the extra gaps between buttons on the vertical bar

I want a setting to return it back ;-;
My screen isn't big enough for this, now I can't use them anymore!
I'm kind of desperate, can only use 7 of the slots each bar provides now, or it goes over the edge of my screen and I can't see it anymore (yes, I play on laptop).
I don't understand why they did this. Why not add an optional setting that enlarges icons+space between icons for those playing with a very high definition and on a big TV screen,
instead of messing up everyone's UI needlessly, to the point where half of the hotbars become unsuable for some players?

there is an extra small setting I am using for 2 bars to make it fit, I hope they do reverse this
