Creating a character- max.level training room

    Good day

I wonder why noone of the MMORPG has the "training room", build-in into the character creation function, where you can try the class with all it's skills and decide- take it or not? Im sure a lot of players were confused- what class to take during the character creation, so, why such a training room doesnt exist in a FF14?

Of course you can say "watch a video" or "no problem to change a class in any moment". BUT. We all know, that the class common features and mechanics can be tasted only on a max level, when all the skill are opened. Also, Im sure we all understand, that the self feelings and video- are different things. It is very sad, when you level the class and suddenly realize, that you dont like it. Time is wasted, you are in tears, life is lost. But such training rooms (you enter and choose any class, gain 60 level and all skills and train with dummy) can solve such a problems

In a sense POTD gives you that once you unlock it and clear up to floor 50. You can start any job on floor 51 at level 60 with all the skills it eventually gets. You also don't need gear and as long as you have a level 1 weapon you can enter. The only drawback would be you don't get job specific skills tied to the job crystal, ie you are a level 60 Gladiator with none of the Paladin specific skills.

But even with this limitation it gives you a general sense of the class at level 60.

Because this a Final Fantasy game first and foremost, and one of the traditions of the FF series is the ability to change your character class at will ('the Job System') - FFXIV's variation on this is the Armoury System where you can switch class/Job at will by simply equipping it's weapon or tool (once you have unlocked it), unlike most MMOs where you are locked to the one class for the entire game.

Also SE doesn't want class favouritism or players working out ways to exploit certain abilities to give them the edge in battle. Really, it's not that hard to switch to another class if you dislike it and level that instead. In fact, the game actually encourages you to try different classes and Jobs anyway, so it's a moot point.
