    sorry, I saw a few other solutions though and this one seemed popular:

    1.) Go to My Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn
    2.) Open up FFXIV_BOOT.cfg in Notepad
    3.) Change the line "BootVersionCheckMode" number from 0 to 1.
    4.) Launch and you should be good to go!
