I'm concerned about Aquapolis

So it's pretty much dead content on my server. 3.5 is probably going to make the new glam mats drops from there, too. And I just....why? IMHO, That doesn't really make going there all that desirable unless gil or actually farming for glam is the goal. It just seems like more trouble than it's worth.

I adore this game, but I don't enjoy gathering and buying maps, praying on rng for the portal, praying on rng again for the right door, then praying once more in hopes I actually see the drop.

Not saying I hate the idea of that place, going with friends and testing my luck is kinda fun. Just the repetitiveness that gets to me.

Judging by the fact that the price of dragonskin maps is skyrocketing at least on my server prior to update seems to indicate that people will be running that content.

Siren always had terrible economy, surprised there is still people on it, the main reason why i left it for lamia, and i haven't looked back, as for the price, they were about 55k ea on lamia when i logged off yesterday.

It's a wonderful server. If you weren't happy, well sorry, but hope you like your new place in the sun. The fact of the matter is prices on maps have at least tripled in the last week (I know cause I sell them) and I would say that is an indication of the fact that aquapolis may become popular to run again. Perhaps you could comment on map prices on Lamia if you even know what they were or are now.

Thats about where they were on Siren too... so Lamia doesnt seem so great

I too on Siren and I can tell you; My friends and I run Aqua a lot. We genuinely enjoy it. And the fact we get pretty pretty trees from it is very nice. Aquapolis isn't "dead content", its far from it. Just cus it doesn't peak your interest doesn't mean its dead. Theres plenty of things that come from it that people enjoy. So I for one, am glad they are making some items easier and making some items only through it. Yall wanted that poncho and native american outfit so bad when it came out, and people who ran aqua got pretty lucky with that.

I guess I should've been more clear. Yeah, on other servers it might be alive n kicking. Not to mention it WILL go back to being active after the patch goes live. I'm saying maybe a month, or three months later, for my server, it's going to go back silent. Not only that, but as I said, I can't get into a dungeon that replies so heavily on rng. That was my opinion, btw. I never said it was dead because I specifically don't enjoy it.

I really get it. I mean Aquapolis is "old" content...and adding new drops to it doesn't make it seem like new content. It's kind of like if they put some rare new minion into Weeping City, even though there is a new 24man going to be out.

This is just the dev's way though. Actually this is not even the only old content they are trying to make relevant in this patch. There is a single line I noticed in the patch notes that I'm sure quite a few people probably didn't pick up on:

New tradable items are available for exchange from Ardolain in Foundation (X:13.0 Y:11.8).

Yup friends, hunts are coming back too... It's the age old "hunts for twines/coats" thing again....probably.... yay?

I'm not even mad or sad about this. I totally expected it...but ya it's a bit mundane as it's the same things we've been doing the last three years...

Oh yea, and we get to farm light again on our relics... Gonna be going back to Titan hard mode and stuff cause there will be a light bonus there... so yea the lvl50 primals are probably going to be relevant again too.

It's just the way this game always plays out. They even updated the Triple Triad tournaments and stuff so maybe people will actually care about farming cards again...from old content? I doubt Triple Triad is coming back even if they fixed it so people can't "cheat" at the Tournament. It's kind of too late now. The gold saucer is pretty dead on my server so I doubt this will fix that.
