Also once you have access to the Moogle tribe daily quests, you can level any crafting class from 50 to 60 very easily and quickly without requiring any mats.

Exactly, My room mate leveled a fair few to level 60 within just few months with next to no effort. he actually made profit doing it because of the whole glass fiber thing, and dont forget Ixal quests too which are ARR. you could even do them to bridge the gap from 45-50,51.

I know for me, the main reason I don't craft much is actually the length of time it takes to do each synth, (combined with how many synths are required to make things from scratch with newer items). If I could hammer out actions as fast as my battle actions, I'd probably craft a LOT more.
