Eh, DRG and MNK, yea I guess there's some AoE there, but I feel that they work through small pulls doing single target damage more efficiently and faster than AoEing big pulls...

I don't know about DRG, but MNK at 60 can do a pretty high AoE damage, and I prefer to do so than small pulls.


About the commends, I got more playing as monk than scholar the last weeks, around two and three commends per dungeon. High dps and be nice helps, I guess.

As a DD I most of the time give it to the next DD unless they are awful. As a healer I give it to the tank unless a DD caugh my attention. As a tank I give it to the healer if not to the random DD.

As a DPS i tend to find i rarely get commendations. Even in cases where i've explained tactics for those who asked, did top dps (as judged by Enmity) etc. i think either people just give it to tank or healer just don;'t bother.

I just spent an hour carrying the worst level 60 party through dungeon finder I have ever come across. The BLM seemed to be casting spells at random. The WHM kept getting caught in tornados. Both dps were getting knocked off the platforms and not learning for past wipes.

My rotation for the final boss was savage blade riot blade clemency WHM who was continuously being tossed in tornados and clemency the dps the WHM didn't have time to heal. I never once saw a regen thrown out either.

And after it was all finished I got 0 commendations.

SMH why do people not know how to play at 60?

Sounds like your party got early access to Jump Potions to me.
And ofc you didn't get comms, that would've given them 1 redeeming quality. Had to make sure the run was as bad as possible for you to ensure it was forum worthy, lol.

As a SMN main I've res'd more than the healers at times, to the point where I can very honestly say I saved 24-man alliances from wipes more than once, and gotten zero comms. I usually get a lot from PotD though. Mainly for being patient with people which I guess can be rare in there sometimes.

If my team isn't taking damage I usually heal the other team, especially the boss tank. If the other team's healers got wiped out I'll res the healers first but other teams can't give you commendations in an Alliance.

Just take the comms you've gotten for simply existing as a tank as credits for runs like these. Some people thank us tanks too much, so it more than makes up for the times when our job is completely thankless.

Imo tanks get too little credit for taking on the responsibility of not doing crazy damage and maintaining threat while DPS shoot every mob but the one marked for kill order.

But, you know, first world problems.

Some people just dont care to commendate. And then some people leave the instance too quickly to get a chance to get accommendated.
