people seem to have diffrent reqirments for getting them to commendation you these can range fromjust saying Hi to your glamor you have on or best performace in the dungoen. Just doing your jobs normally gets you 0 commendation.

oddly I get more commendations when playing my female alt them my main male

I've gotten most of my commendations as a healer, people just like giving it to the healer for some reason.


But there's a few things I've seen people do that definitely don't deserve commendations, stuff like tanks who decide it's a good idea to pull everything for AoEing when the DPS are NIN, DRG or MNK... Not exactly a whole lot of AoE to throw out on those jobs...

If I'm having a really terrible run I don't give out any commendations. To heroes or otherwise. I've also been in 8-man parties as the only healer keeping everyone alive in the most difficult situations yet got nothing (then on other days done a terrible job or had really bad lag and been showered in the things).

(Can also confirm that being tossed by the tornadoes doesn't really affect ability to keep people up in that fight as WHM... maybe they were just grumpy the PLD kept making them overheal and getting passive aggressive about it. Talking really helps.)

What? MNKs and DRGs have loads of AoE output. Sure not as much as a BLM or SMN sure, but plenty enough to deal with big pulls fast. If they're not, then they're doing something wrong.

NINs not so much, though a Critical Katon is still nice.

In any case not getting comms isn't the end of the world, tanks and healers get them the easiest. Dps only gets them if they really stand out or from players that only give theirs because they know dps really don't get many comms.

Happens to me all the time lol now I don't even care anymore and I mostly play with fc ppl cuz I grew tired of carrying rude people thru stuff and ppl who don't like a few kind suggestions. I've no problem helping, teaching people how to play etc but I find lot lf people don't want help and such so I just do best I can and expect nothing.

I never get any comms either in these situations. as soon as the boss is down I gtfo asap

Commendation system is meaningless, Tanks/Healers usually get those while DPS are mostly ignored. Also a lot of players don't give them or do it at random.

IMO should be scrapped.
