Personally, I completely agree with the OP, because I myself get bored of glams everyone else is using.

But then again, I just don't care what other people do. If they wanna be generic and are happy with it: let them be.
It just means my own character will stand out more and I've gotten plenty of tells with people commenting on my beautiful glam/char.

in all seriousness though, we really are lacking some variety and depending on the class, it can be really tough to come up with some unique glams.
Having so many nice pieces which aren't dyeable or that are race-, gender- or classlocked doesn't help. It also doesn't help how some nice glam for the legs turn into a simple slip because it's clipping with the chest piece.
