Today I headed out to Halatali to do some botany leves. I ported in to Broken Water, since I had a local to drop off there. After that I hopped on my chocobo and rode on down to Halatali. On my way there, I saw something odd on my minimap--the map just seemed to stop. I decided to open my map and check it out...

Oh no! I seem to have ripped my map trying to unfurl it with such haste! In case it helps, the minimap looked like this:

Platform: Windows 7 x64
ISP: AT&T (U-Verse)
Type of Internet Connection: Fiber
Internet Connection Speed: 6~10MBps (I always forget the number...)
Date & Time: Nov. 26, 2011 11:55AM CST
Frequency: Once (It's never happened before, so I probably can't replicate it)
Character Name: Raldo Volca
Race: Midlander Male
World: Selbina
Class/Skill Rank: Botanist 47
Area and Coordinates: Eastern Thanlan (see screenshot for coordinates)
Party or Solo: Solo
In-Game Time: 11:00~ish
Steps:
1. I teleported from Ul'dah to Broken Water.
2. I turned in a Alchemist40 local leve and repaired some guy's scarred kite shield.
3. I ran on chocoback toward Halatali.

This issue didn't actually cause me any problems, I just found it funny and thought I'd post it. It's probably just a fluke; a lost network packet or something. It might be worth adding some error detection/recovery around the issue though. At least it doesn't crash the game!
