    Regarding Material Usage License Revision

    There is a point in the License that refers to not replacing FFXIV's music with that of third party materials, why is this?

    The line in question:
    When showing gameplay, you may not replace the FFXIV music with third party music;

    As is very obvious, it is common practice to mute the game's BGM and play our own music; as it is with most games, so why would this one thing; that is thought to often be universally accepted, be classified as non-permissible when we're already given the option to mute the in game music as is? I fail to see the reason behind it.

    Should this not be the case, I would highly suggest revising the wording as it currently leads one to believe that they are not permitted to listen to other musical material should they be showing gameplay of XIV. Furthermore, IF that is the case I would suggest changing it altogether as no one will willingly comply with such; especially in a streaming environment.

    There an obvious hole in that line: If you mute the BGM you aren't replacing the music but just adding your own.

    I believe it's one of the point made for "just in case" if SE needs to enforce it.

    You can find many videos on video sharing sites with Final Fantasy XIV gameplay and third party music and they're not being shutdown.

    But should one such video be deemed detrimental or inappropriate for the game or to SE, then SE has ground to go against it.

    There could also be some initial music license points which SE are bound to, and they have to pass them in their user license.
