Yes, I would expect to see more done with the Diadem, and PotD, and my personal preference would be for more relic-like quests, as well as more riddle-based content (or, at least, fairly complex logic puzzles -they would be easier to generate in an automated fashion) that would actually require some thought (it wouldn't be a bad idea if they gated savage raid clears behind such puzzles too -it would make raids much more interesting).

And no, I can’t consider one-offs with no replay value (logs, achievements etc) or stuff you would do before even completing previous MSQ lines (such as crafting and gathering) to be “endgame”.

slightly off-topic: About avoiding (savage) raiding, it’s not always about the (perceived) difficulty.. just an example: how about preferring not to be complicit in breaking the ToS? (look at your immediate environment, any server, and see how many groups did the raids without cheats/3rd-party reverse engineering (parsers etc).
