Looking for advice for Dragoon Pvp

Hello everyone, i was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on Dragoon pvp, I don't have much pvp experience around 71 Feast and 109 Frontlines. I feel like I am playing my class incorrectly, it seems certain classes dish out a lot more damage then i (Monk, Ninja and Warriors) I thought maybe I am playing incorrectly or those classes are just extremely strong in pvp right now. I would like to get better and get more confidence to start rank.
    Any advice is appreciate

Know someones gonna shoot me for saying it and give 100 supporting reasons why you shouldn't but... just from personal experience.....learn to write pvp macros~ Having skills like Internal Release, Mercy Stroke, and Jumps go off automatically is a lifesaver when your thoughts are rushed in the heat of battle (and yes, I r aware there are situations where thats bad or a waste but it depends on how ya write em) or combining 2nd Wind with Recuperate~ Just helps improve response time.

sprint + bloodbath + BL -> HT -> feather + IR + fetter -> TT -> BotD + B4B -> VT -> [hard swap] PS + LS + Impulse Rush + Skewer + Leg Sweep -> FT -> Jump + Spineshatter -> whatever 4 procs + mercy stroke... they should be ded. That will get you kills on healers until plat+diamond levels. After that, you need to mix it up a bit, but hopefully by then you'll understand your burst potentional a bit more. Also have a macro to turn off blood for blood, if you get focused with it in all healers will hate you.

Your main "burst" consists of combining a [Life Surged] Full Thrust into a [Power Surged+Blood of the Dragon] Jump with various other buffs. There are many different ways to set up this burst though which goes into the nitty-gritty of advanced DRG play. But for the basics, you can burst every 60 seconds as your Life Surge, Blood of the Dragon, Skewer, Power Surge, Internal Release should all be ready for your burst. You may have additional cool downs ready such as Blood for Blood, Battle Litany, etc. which also help but you do not need to wait for them if you have a good opportunity already. Setting up Disembowel on your burst target is optional, as on one hand it increases your damage but it takes more time to set up and gives the enemy team time to react/escape etc.

The most basic burst rotation is [oGCD abilities in brackets]:

Heavy Thrust [Internal Release] --> Light Thrust [Power Surge + Blood of the Dragon] --> Vorpal Thrust [Life Surge + Leg Sweep] --> Full Thrust [Jump] --> 4th Blood of the Dragon combo [Spineshatter Dive] --> spam your other oGCDs and hope they're dead by now

You can of course add in more oGCDs or swap them around in certain places (perhaps before you start your Full Thrust combo) and this is where the real debate about DRG begins; but the above gives you a basic understanding of a simple burst. Setting up your burst and incorporating all your abilities into it is more or less the hard part.

For instance, ideally you wouldn't need to pop Blood of the Dragon in the middle of your burst as you would've built it up before hand. Similarly, there are a lot of buffs you can be popping before and after Heavy Thrust (such as Fetterward so you can't be slept/bound during your burst, or Enliven to increase the damage on your 4th combo) which can open up room to add in more damage oGCDs (such as Skewer/Impulse Drive) into your main burst phase.

Lastly, as Tiramisu alluded to, setting up your burst on one perseon and then quickly swapping to someone else and hitting them with the main burst (Full Thrust --> Jump + finishers) can really catch people off guard as they wont be ready to react to you bursting on that other person. It's all about situational awareness.
