Race specific fashion

Feels like there should be a lot more than there is....or at least a second set. To me race clothing looks better than all the copy and paste gear we get from the raids.

Would be nice if instead of getting china and korean dresses that we could get more lore and race related fashion. Agree disagree? I don't mind it's mogstation

I think it'd be great with more gear designed around a specific race instead of having a "One set fits all" types of gear.

Um I disagree. Its more to my sensibilities really, like the old FFXII argument, "Why do I need a license to know how to wear a hat?"

Why would one race not be able to wear a style created by another race?

Have to agree. If more costumes are to be added, I want them available to everyone.

I'm not against introducing gear that is themed aesthetically around a particular race and would love that! I just don't want it restricted to one race.

This makes less sense when you think about it. Sure, there is a certain style that each race starts with, but artificially limiting gear styles by race is just plain silly.

Take the topic about the basic hempen set. Are we really supposed to believe that a weaver who has surpassed their guild leaders abilities is incapable of resizing a hempen camisole of a different pattern, say the Elezen version(for example), for a player regardless of size or race? They would be a pretty poor crafter if that was beyond them. There needs to be some common sense applied here.

It would be neat to see more race related/lore based gear, but if that ever was implemented there would be probably a spam of threads how it's not fair that certain races gets this. Another race gets that. Like with items/styles that are already locked now, people want those to be available to everyone.

Cool idea though.

Not saying OP has done this cause Idk but there are people out there that upset about gender locked items and people want to take that a step further and have gear that locked to a certain race?

LOL Funny, I made a post about this 3 years ago (3 months after release). (In a small way) Gotta admit that's some very unintentional foresight lol And still to this day, the most unique gear set is the starter gear & you don't see anything see anything like it again. I would still like to see more racial/lore type gear and from a cultural stand point it be great to see more of it because this can't be the extent of each races fashion sense lol
