Race specific fashion

Feels like there should be a lot more than there is....or at least a second set. To me race clothing looks better than all the copy and paste gear we get from the raids.

Would be nice if instead of getting china and korean dresses that we could get more lore and race related fashion. Agree disagree? I don't mind it's mogstation

I think it'd be great with more gear designed around a specific race instead of having a "One set fits all" types of gear.

Many types of gear looks silly one one race but good on another.

Um I disagree. Its more to my sensibilities really, like the old FFXII argument, "Why do I need a license to know how to wear a hat?"

Why would one race not be able to wear a style created by another race?

It would be neat to see more race related/lore based gear, but if that ever was implemented there would be probably a spam of threads how it's not fair that certain races gets this. Another race gets that. Like with items/styles that are already locked now, people want those to be available to everyone.

Cool idea though.

Not saying OP has done this cause Idk but there are people out there that upset about gender locked items and people want to take that a step further and have gear that locked to a certain race?

LOL Funny, I made a post about this 3 years ago (3 months after release). (In a small way) Gotta admit that's some very unintentional foresight lol And still to this day, the most unique gear set is the starter gear & you don't see anything see anything like it again. I would still like to see more racial/lore type gear and from a cultural stand point it be great to see more of it because this can't be the extent of each races fashion sense lol

Aside from Au Ra, I never thought the starter gear was really that diverse. It all seems like variations on the same theme. Nothing about it strikes me as unique or representative of a particular race, except maybe how it's impossible to not constantly see up the female miqote skirt, they nailed it with that one. But all the gear even looks like it's made from the same materials. It's the same white shirts and brown leather straps and red accents across the board, just mixed up a little. And in a game that's pretty glamour heavy I usually just lament that I can't mix and match from all of them, so adding more would probably not make me happy.

I think from a game mechanic standpoint, it's kind of frustrating to design a set of gear that only a small portion of the population can wear. From a roleplayer standpoint, I'd really like to see more race-specific stuff available as glamour options. I'd like to see different styles and stuff! But I get why it won't likely happen.
