    Xbox One Controller keeps disconnecting

    Hey peeps o/

So I got a major problem. At random my controller disconnects and then reconnects. I thought originally it may have been my hardware so I disconnected it from bluetooth and tried it via USB - and it failed as well. I have tried the same with the official wireless USB device and it still disconnects randomly. I have tried updating drivers and many other things I found on Google and none has worked so far.

Reason I am posting it on the forums is because I found this is only happening in Final Fantasy XIV. Playing any other game I have having no problems at all but as soon as I play this game the controller randomly disconnects.

Any help would be thankful - I'm annoying my raid group now and farming Sophia for that bird is getting very hard xD

I've had two XBox One controllers thus far in the course of... one years and a half, I think. The first one broke cuz I think I wasn't careful enough with it, but this second one had connection issues from the start. I've always used a USB cable with it and sometimes when I connect it (without any games open), it keeps disconnecting and connecting over and over like it's bugged or something. Replugging it a few times seems to solve the problem.

Very rarely both my left and right sticks will glitch whilst I'm playing FFXIV (I think it happened once with Dragon's Dogma, but that was quite some time ago) in a way that make the camera and the character consantly turn and run. Continuous input in other directions change nothing. I have to completley let go for a moment, wait for both to stop, and then carry on. Thankfully this doesn't happen too often, but it had a few times already. Considering the other problem I've been having whilst connecting the controller, which is far more common, I'd say it has something to do with the controller itself. For reference, I'm using one of these with a plug for a headset. The previous one was the "first generation" of XBox One controllers, before Microsoft started selling them with a USB cable, and it only started presented problems after I was too careless with it.
