Back on topic, this kind of debate hinges on a really faulty argument though. "I don't like X, so no one should be able to do X!" is on a completely different level from, "I like X, so please let us do X!" One group wants to restrict people's enjoyment of a video game; the other group simply wants the option to do something they see as fun in the video game. They are not equivalent arguments.

I think they are equivalent if one's possible enjoyment affects others negatively, so it goes the both ways, but I'm here to defend my side of it, and not pleasing you or anyone else's desire of wearing female clothing.

I dont understand why anyone would be against giving both genders the same options when it comes to wearing outfits. If the female avatars are allowed to wear male gear, let the male avatars wear the female gear. If you dislike what someone is wearing, just ignore them, if this is about immersion, then lets not forget that we already have people tanking in swimwear, wearing the same outfits like MSQ characters or wearing Pig, Chocobo outfits. But if this is, because of some real life values (anti-LGBTQ), then maybe you need rethink on how serious you are taking this game. Just like in real life, if someones lifestyle is bothering you, you ignore them and move on.

Personaly, I prefer that SE does one of these two things:

1. They keep male gear for male players and female gear for female players.
2. They unlock both gearsets for both genders.

Giving 1 half of the playerbase access to both gearsets is the same as waving the finger towards the other. I think in general most players are open for giving both genders the same treatment. Afcourse there willl always be those that want to be snowflakes and prefer that only they get preferential treatment.

Tbh, cute, boy and a lace should never be said in the same sentence, and what is attractive to some people is eye cancer to others.
If something looks totally wrong, it normally is wrong, and I've only been against males wearing something so feminine as wedding dress, or maybe you would love to see your character wearing female southern seas swimsuit as well, but those are something that I don't want to see in my game, and wouldn't even mind if those oh so famous pig heads etc. would disappear from it.

There's many gown's that men can wear in the game, and are perfectly fine, wedding dress just isn't one of those, and never will be.
Same goes the otherway around, if there's something so wrong looking from males on female characters, my opinion would be exactly the same.

It doesn't work like that in the game, it's different to RL where you don't have to see them, and if you see one, you won't most likely see one in years.
Here it would be daily, and I don't want my eyes to get cancer from seeing it, and I bet there are others who are just like me, so that's why I'm against it.

You all can play princesses and whatever you like in RL all I care, and maybe SE should get you your own special server where you can have your wedding dresses and tiaras so you can compete who looks cutest all around Eorzea.

Have you considered that if you're so upset to the point of thinking pixels on a screen can give you a dangerous and debilitating physical illness, perhaps an MMO populated by all different kinds of people from all different countries isn't the right genre for you? And I note that you're still relentlessly pushing the (rude) RL angle despite its complete irrelevance.

I just feel sorry for you now.
