Against it for what reason? Your argument seems to stem from the fact you are under the misconception that it is racial gear, when that couldn't be further from the truth. It's not racial gear like the starting sets, and is simply crafted gear that for some arbitrary reason has a different a appearance based on the race that wears it. That's not "racial flavor" its basically the same as when they take one set and make vastly different models for male and female characters for no reason other than they felt like it. It's just underwear friend, it being unlocked for all characters to use multiple styles isn't going to hurt anyone. Frankly since a dev replied years ago saying they'd look into it or try to do it, I think we deserve an update at the very least.
Do you realize how ridiculous it sounds to be saying that a character shouldn't be able to wear a different style of underwear based on their race?

That idiot argues for the sake of arguing. They seek out hot-button topics and make statements for the sole purpose of pissing people off. Absolutely incapable of discussing anything in good faith, and by their own admission they cherry pick information.Against it for what reason? You also cherry pick information.
You guys aren't ever going to let that go, and that's OK, because it shows you have no real argument to make. You are attacking me personally and not my points. Which just makes it obvious to others you have nothing at all to say.
And no, I don't seek out hot button topics. I seek out topics I'm interested in. And I also don't intentionally piss people off. There's just a certain group I don't agree with, and apparently that includes you.
On topic, I feel like there isn't enough gear that gives races distinction from each other. We have only 2 sets per race that are unique, and I think it should stay that way. We don't really have cultural gear in game to a large extent.
You know, to show where your character came from and all that.

I made points about how I thought the hempen gear wasn't really culturally distinct in any way, and that viera/hrothgar have both been given another race's supposed gear as their available hempen set.
We have quite a bit of cultural gear. As examples, Stormblood had Xaela or Azim Steppe gear, HW with Ishgardian gear, recently EW with Thavnarian gear. It's just not really locked to specific races. Just as those aren't locked to races, nor should the hempen sets remain locked.
