In the end, it's up to the team to determine what development resources they can spare -- we can't really make too many assumptions about whether implementing one thing would detract from the implementation of others, because we don't know too much about how their day-to-day work is structured or distributed across the team.

That said, I'm in favour of unlocking race and gender restrictions on as many gear pieces as possible. The hempen sets have been a particular focus for people, so that would be a very good start, and I hope that the team will also work on other race or gender-locked sets to whatever extent they're able.
