I'm neutral here, I'm a man and like men clothing. That said all the arguments here against unlocking all the options for people comes off to me as a nasty Trump rally. May not be the intent but thats how it comes off.

And as the cousin of a cross dresser, let me say sometimes you need to fulfill your identity and where you live makes that a dangerous need. Sometimes you need an outlet and I'm not gonna tell these people they can't have it.

Final Fantasy has twelve different games in which crossdressing is possible. If that is something that offends you, perhaps this MMO isn't the one for you. Maybe the hulking barbarianism and macho masculinity of WoW is more your style.

I don't care at all if warrior girls wear bikinis, or males wear their swimming pieces or beach clothing or what ever else while playing warrior.
All the time I've only been against female dresses to be unlocked for males, and that opinion won't change.

And as we have come to point about RL, just for your info I've been arranging many club nights specifically for LGBT community and have many gay co-workers, and seen men wearing high heels and dresses in every night we have arranged, but it's real life, and it's far from this game which is my sanctuary from real life, and I don't want to see males wearing those wedding dresses here, simple as that.

IRL you can wear wedding dresses 24/7 all I care

Sanctuary? You need a safe space away from all those nasty drag queens, cross dressers, and the various kinds trans people there are? Worse if it's men or trans women am I right?

What we need in this game, in all games, and in the real world is diversity god damnit!

This game is suppose to be about adventure and magic, why should it impose the narrow views on gender roles that plagues the real world?

I'm kinda baffled that people can get so worked up about how others dress their characters. >.>
I don't like skimpy outfits so I don't put revealing clothes on Eva. I don't care if others are wearing bikinis or dresses or pig outfits or whatever it is that makes them happy.

On the original topic I support unlocking race/gender locks since it frees players to choose a style for their character unbound by what I feel are arbitrary restrictions.

Too many to quote, but that picture is far from wearing a wedding dress, and obviously it's something I wouldn't wear and definitely far from "eye candy", but I can live with that.
And I don't care from what country, what gender, or whatever you are as someone pointed out earlier. Point still is that women's wedding dress isn't for male's and that's how it should be.

About RL, I don't mind seeing those, could almost say that I'm used to it, but when I'm far from RL, in this awesome FANTASY world, I don't want to see men running especially in those (wedding) dresses.
Also, we pay the same money for the sub, so I have the same right as you have to voice my concerns about these matters.

And as a _male_ WARRIOR OF LIGHT, it doesn't fit to the lore that you play some princess in a wedding dress or in any dress at all.

And how many people in this storyline has actually worn girlish outfits? Hildibrand doesn't count, he's not a serious character and him wearing a dress was story-related and only for the lols. It certainly doesn't mean SE approves of men wearing dresses.

Offtopic: How did a thread about supporting a request to unlock the hempen set get hijacked into an argument about cross-dressing? Can't both sides just go off and create your own thread and continue arguing there, and keep this thread related to the OP?

Ontopic: I fully support the OP's request to unlock the hempen sets, since I'd love to wear the Au Ra and Midlander ones on my Miqo'te.

Sorry to break it to you, but while you're entitled to your opinion on whether crossdressing should be in the game, it's actually less important. If there is enough demand for crossdressing, that is what matters. If enough players say "We want crossdressing!" and SE recognizes that and wants to fill that demand, it is that which matters because they're giving those people what they want which ultimately only affects them.
