Request to unlock Hempen set styles

I would call it fake RSE so no it really has no uniqueness outside it really glamour and should be available to all races. It literally the same name "Hempen Camise" and even same icon Unless you talking about the actual RSE like Hyuran Tunic or Miqo'te Separates yea that gear can stay race specific

That's because the 'hempen' set is actually a holdover from the original version of FFXIV (1.0) - there, it was literal underwear in that there was actually two 'small-clothes' slots for body and legs that changed the appearance of what your underwear looked like when you removed all other gear. Small clothes had no stats and thus had no effect on your character's attributes (naturally you needed small clothes equipped at all times, you could change what underwear your character wore but could not strip them of it completely), they were simply for appearance. The swimwear from the 1.0 summer events was also classed as 'small clothes' and went in these slots in the same way.

However, with the change over to ARR, the small clothes slots were abolished and the gear that was formerly equipped there was made into proper body and leg gear. This is why the hempen set is racially locked, every race had their own unique underwear appearance (it's also why female highlander hyur smallclothes have a different appearance to midlander female lingerie, because in 1.0 you could not play as a female highlander hyur, they were male only and hence it's set is new for ARR, same as male miqo'te and female roegadyn). Hence I do not see SE removing the racial restriction for this set, as they would have to create copies of each race's set for every race and gender combination, development time better spent designing new gear and content. Really, if you want to wear another race's small clothes, get a Fantasia and change to that race. It's not that difficult.

Well if you looks around glamour does have a pretty big part in the game as there even a book they have shown off dedicated to it.

Really, if you want to wear another race's small clothes, get a Fantasia and change to that race. It's not that difficult.

How about no, unless you going to pay for it which in that case still no. I don't think fantasia should be a thing to begin with.

Actually I'm mostly looking at the Midlander and Au Ra ones for their simplicity compared to many other options, that's what I feel is lacking, more revealing options there's already plenty of.

Quite the opposite. I actually think it is non-miqo'te wanting the miqo'te top. I know I'd wear that. I despise the highlander set and lament the loss of my underwear every time I fantasia back to highlander.
