Thread: New armor - 3.5 patch

So with the new armor sets on display in the notes, what are everyone's thoughts on this round of gear?

Does wearing a gas mask and looking like a desert scrap collector strike your fancy?

Do you find the dun scaithe gear cool or is it just a pile of spikey fabrics trying to be edgy?

Are you as jealous as I am that DRGs new PVP gear makes them look like a power ranger? (Seriously it's unfair) Do you find parts of the PVP healer gear absolutely adorable and can't wait to snatch those pieces for glamouring?

As for me, The PvP gear intreagues me the most. With dun scaithe in second. I'm not fond of the desert... But maybe some of the individual pieces might be cute.

I just want to find out if the 260 Dun Scaith tank legs have parry.

It'll probably be crit sks/crit det/crit parry since the tank legs from VA and WC have had some crit on them.

Out of new dungeon, I like the outfits Miqo'te and Au Ra girls have on.

With Garo PvP sets, I like most of the non-armored ones - especially going for MCH/BRD set.

I don't like any of the Dun Scaith -outfits.

can anyone help? they went for this military-ish/nuclear fallout gasmask look and i can't determine which job is which by looking at the sets alone or atleast i can just assume the casters/healers are the ones in the long coats but the rest of the jobs.....

The lalafell is probably the tank. The other blue coat guy with a helmet is probably DRG. Mouth mask is probably NIN. Beret is probably MNK. Goggle girl is probably MCH/BRD. I could maybe have MNK and BRD backwards, since the beret is the fanciest hat and BRD usually gets the fanciest hat.

thank you! atleast that gave me an idea... at first glance the group looks like some para-militia people and in my opinion they sorta not fit in with the game's theme just yet (we're not in garlean regions yet right?) but they do look nice

Guessing healer left, then MNK, then NIN, then BRD/MCH, then DRG, then caster, with tank in the front (lalafell)

Hard to see the details on the Garo caster set because its a popoto model. Dun Scaith caster skirt (or is that a SCH?) looks alright. Hopefully it and the invisible belt have speed and no accuracy.

With all of the sets, there are some individual pieces that I like, but the sets as a whole are not to my taste. I will enjoy mixing them up with some older gear to see what kind of look I can create.
