MSQ is being split in half, hence the lack of quest. So we won't see the rest of the story til most likely March.

Actually, I think this is a very good thing. They are adding a lot of QoL improvements prior to StormBlood. I am sure that a lot of the writing and design focus for content is on StormBlood right now, but the team that works on the core game and UI can be steaming ahead with QoL, performance and stability enhancements ahead of the SB launch. SB will be that much better with all those small improvements.

Plus the group pose and camera stuff should keep some people busy for months.

Speaking of performance I wonder when the PS4 Pro's extra GPU resource will be enabled in this game? Not that it affects me at the moment, since I an not a PS4Pro owner - yet.

Well, the number of quests can be deceiving, because you can have one quest that has you talk to 13 different people for 26 different reasons and get a crap ton of story out of it, or you can get a quest that sends you to talk to a single person and is done.
