A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.

Love these changes. Praise the Sun!!!!
While those are boss cards are from 2.xx content, they were not added into the game until 3.2, which would explain why they aren't on NPC's quite yet. Fenrir seems to be ludicrously rare though...I've done Snowcloak at least a hundred times now since the card was added and never seen it :/
I have seen screenshots of people setting their hotbars up like that already, just guess those people were more creative with what they had to work with so don't see the new hotbar qol change that noteworthy.

I set up my hotbars like that as well, but if anything, I DO want this feature, because it frees up my hotbars even more, since I no longer need to do things like, use an entire vertical hotbar, for just 1 ability to line up with my prior set. (and even then it doesnt line up well)
Now I can play with it, and get the most abilities, with the least hotbars used, AND set pet hotbar to something other than 21x1, which takes up way more space on my screen than id like (and i already have everything set to the smallest size possible, since im on a 768p screen, and its still too darn big.)

Right now to get say a 6x6 square you have to use six of your hotbars placed in a specific position and only use 6 of the slots from each. Being able to do a 6x6 square with just one hotbar instead feels like a pretty noteworthy quality of life change.

If no PvP chat means I don't have to deal with your "funny" commentary, then so it shall be.

To be fair, it would be more efficient to allow people to communicate with each other more easily in PvP but simply crack down on trash talking and poor sportsmanship.
The cynical part of me believes that the developers don't want that to happen, though, because it would cost money to hire people to investigate such things and if the players in question ended up getting banned then they'd be likely remove their subscriptions.

And yet, I read that they opened up chat in FrontLines. Seems to me they only restrict it in the Feast. Which is a toxic wasteland the likes of which has never been seen.To be fair, it would be more efficient to allow people to communicate with each other more easily in PvP but simply crack down on trash talking and poor sportsmanship.

Competitive content sadly brings out the worst in a lot of people. There's various ways to mitigate that but...oh well.
Hopefully for this PvP based crossover event we don't actually have to win. That way having chat disabled won't have a major impact if you still walk away with the rewards even if you lose.
