    Live Letter 34 disappointment :(

So the Digest is out and I'm not sure what to think, but a few things stood out which I'm not really in favor of.

Zurvan Ex being tuned for the raiders - I guess soothing the savage beasts who don't have anything left to do since reaching BiS in early 3.4 is a priority.
After Sophia I was half looking forward to picking up more ex primals but since I'm not tall/geared enough nor anywhere near BiS that's off the cards. Shame. Maybe a little more content accessibility would have gone towards stopping content splitting high/low, which it's looking like it will, given this gem:

We received a lot of feedback in regard to the difficulty of Ozma, and we've decided to tune the difficulty of Dun Scaith to the same level as that of Mhach. However, since there was feedback that it took a bit too long to finish Mhach, we’ve designed Dun Scaith to be slightly shorter.
(cont'd next post, stupid 1k char limit)

This I find worrying - rather than adding challenge, in order to push players in the 'low-end content' bracket into actually paying attention and trying to improve rather than trying to outburst any mechanics (with the results you'd expect - a wipe, "other" people being blamed for not doing mechanics, general finger pointing etc) this is essentially a license to not try to improve.

WCoM doesn't take all that longer than VA used to PROVIDED PEOPLE ARE DOING THE FIGHTS - the only reason it takes longer is people doggedly choosing to not pay attention!

"it took a bit too long to finish Mhach"
translates to "complainants are not interested in being challenged, they want their loot faster" - and I happen to think this represents an unwillingness to apply, rather than misdesign.

Admission: I didn't care much for WCoM when it came out, but once I got explained what to look out for and how to run the various fights, it became a very rewarding/enjoyable experience.

You can edit your post to bypass the 1k limit. Also I don't think it took to long to finish Weeping City. I think it was the correct length for a 24 man raid. I guess SE want players to get the "lootz" quickly. They really need to stop making these kind of changes based on small things like it took too long... Why can't a piece of content take a bit of your time nowadays maybe then it can actually last longer.

I don't know man, even running Mhach today, the first two bosses still feel like slightly-too-large sacks of HP, even considering their mechanics. It makes the whole experience feels like it drags just a little too long. If they're listening to feedback and making the fights slightly shorter but still just as mechanically dense, I'm all for it.

If you actually have DPS who know what they are doing it doesn't last all that long. Most people in there only start to do 1k now when most competent DPS did that quite some time ago when it released or more.

    Well -

We received a lot of feedback in regard to the difficulty of Ozma, and we've decided to tune the difficulty of Dun Scaith to the same level as that of Mhach.
to me this reads like "we're flattening learning curve, buttonbash faster while carrying people"

"We decided to tune Dun Scaith to the same level as Mhach" could simply mean that we can expect the third boss to inevitably cause a Duty to fail, as Ozma once did back when the Weeping City of Mhach came out.

Now if he said they tuned it to Void Arks difficulty...

They should make bosses harder but remove all pointless trash encounters in between.

    Mhach takes too long?

Even during 3.3, once all people figured out what to do / watched a guide, its length was just perfect.

On the contrary, they should do longer raids with more bosses and trash that actually hurts imo.

I don't want to spent 2 hours in a weekly casual raid, ty. Especially if it'll require multiple runs if I'll not get my drop first time.
