    Is there a way to find out if gear is part of a set when in the assimilation menu?

    Recently I went to assimilate older gear and accidentally converted all of my main job's gear. Thankfully it was all base level 60 gear, but it made me wonder if there was a way to produce a warning for items that are part of a gear set. I don't mind checking my jobs before assimilation, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Thanks in advance!

    Assuming you mean conversion to materia or desynthing, yes. If there is a piece of paper icon on it you have that piece of gear registered in one of your equipment sets.

    Yes it would be materia assimilation. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like for me. All of my equipped items are part of gear sets, but I'm not sure why the set icon isn't showing up. Sorry I'm still new and learning lol

    The set icon doesn't appear on that particular menu or your character sheet. If you use materia assimilation directly from your inventory or armory then you will see the set icon in the lower right corner of the equipments image.

    Yeah don't use that menu, go into inventory/armoury chest and right click on the gear and press the convert button, much easier way of converting without risking converting something you want.
