Tackle box off hand

Just as the name implies I feel like the fishing job needs a tackle box offhand to hold all there bait and tackle it would free up a considerable amount of space

What are your guys especially thoughts

this is nice, it doesnt even have to be an offhand, it can be a keyitem that allows you to open up an armorychest-like submenu where you can place all your baits and tackles

Some form of tackle box has been requested since ARR's beta. Here is hoping it will happen as part of the inventory expansion in Stormblood.

Instead of it being an off-hand (which might cause issues when you take it off and there are items in it) I would rather they give us a bait "tab" and then give us an actual functional off-hand tool like a net or spear.

this definitely needs to happen though not as an off hand. the tackle box is already in fishing to some degree as you have to open it up to select your bait, i just wish it was more than just a UI and actually held your bait. what i really want as on off hand is a fishing chair, idc if it has stats i just want to glamour that chair you sit on while fishing.

This has been asked more times than "Daddy, are we there yet?". They've said it can't happen due to PS3 & Server Limitations but also that it won't happen because it would make it unfair to other jobs who don't have somewhere special to store their consumables. Regarding that second reasoning, I can only assume they mean potions & medicines because no other job has "essential" consumables.

So yeah, we've been asking for years but it's almost certainly not going to happen. Maybe with 4.0 they will introduce Spearfishing to take advantage of that offhand slot.

The limitation on adding something like a tackle box are technical. Its the same reason adding inventory space has been a hassle for them. We might end up getting something with the server upgrade but I am not going to start counting my chickens before they hatch when it comes to the fruits of that endeavour.

Alternatively, SE could condense and reduce all the different kinds of bait out there. Just a thought. Personally I wouldn't mind a GW2 type system where reagents for crafting kind of have their own currency/crystal tab setup, so they never take any inventory space. Bait could go into one for fishing.
