[Suggestion] Dyeable GC Elite gear for All Classes

The grand company Elite gear that we can obtain from the hunt master is very exclusive, I almost never see anyone wearing even a single piece.

One possible reason for that, IMHO, is the class restriction on the gear. I understand that the existing set is level 50 gear, but it's actual stats are obviously out-dated so it will only ever be a glamour.

I suggest adding a second set of Grand Company Elite gear to the Huntmaster, specifically as a glamour set. This glamour version would be a level 1 item with basic defense and no bonus stats. It would have no class restriction and players would be able to dye it. The cost should be the same amount of Allied seals as for the original piece, plus the original piece - since this in effect an upgraded version of the original.

I think this would invigorate the hunts for a while at least as well as perhaps giving these looks new life in the game. Plus I would totally spam hunts to get most of the pieces from the Flames for glamours - especially if I could mix and match across classes.

Why not make it like a cheap alternative to ironworks? I feel that would envigorate even more to get it.

I was thinking both in terms of the gear being more flexible, yet retaining a level of rarity by making it cost as much as, or more than, the original set. Allied seals being the currency, I also thought that this might bring some players back to the hunts as well.

If you make it a cheap alternative to ironworks it becomes just another gear set that everyone can get easily. Whereas keeping it higher in cost preserves the relative rarity of the gear for longer as players actually have to work to acquire it, and not everyone will do that - unless they really want the gear.

I just meant the stats should be upped to a useable level. The huntsmasters gear is easily bought if you hunt a lot (i do) so i see it as cheap and easy.
    sorry for confusion!

Gotcha. Yes, I agree actually. I'd really like to see a level 60 set with a high ilvl and appropriate stats as well. If they were going to do the glamour version of the gear, then a fancier version of the original set at level 60 would work well also.

Personally I'm highly against making GC gear dyeable, for the fact that the gears are coloured to represent the Company. Dying said gear takes away all representation of the company.

That is very true. GC representation in gear is weak already. Dont see why it should be weaker.

I can understand that, and I agree with it. However all the gear is clearly themed to the GC, there are GC crests on it, IIRC. Dying the gear should not be a major issue, but I can see your point.

I would just like for the gear to be a little more attractive to the players so that more people would do what is needed to acquire it and use it. The removal of the class restriction on the current gear set would be a start to this since it would open up more possibilities of players using one or more pieces in a glamor.
