We really do take a lot of things for granted. Buckle up for a story, it's a personal one, but I'm gonna share.

When I was seventeen I ended up with really bad back pain. The doctors weren't sure what it was. In March I ended up feeling intense pain in my legs that woke me up. I can only describe it as a buzz saw made of fire slicing through me and I couldn't walk Turns out I had a staff infection inside of my spinal cord. The staff had grown to the size of a grape and cut off blood flow from the waste down. I was rushed into surgery at that point. At first there was no telling if I would walk again, and I was taught how to live my life in a wheelchair. I eventually gained my mobility back, but for several years I had to use a cane.

I'm sorry you've lost to ability to taste, I truly know what it's like to just not have something. Also I agree that it's interesting when characters in games also deal with having lost something. To me that really makes a character, a hero, shine.
