So you're basically saying "don't be bad", because good tanks can do all those things while contributing significant DPS.
Considering that just tanking normally means doing some form of DPS by default, which also generates aggro (more than normal with the usual rotations because of design, what you said previously is pretty silly.

k i guess that wasnt lowered down enough, lemme try with an example
you are tanking in defiance mode as warrior then suddenly you feel the urge to beat your drg on parser and switch to deliverance right when the boss smash your face with a tank buster and you drop dead on the floor.
Dont do that. I cant go lower than this, there are countless examples where tanks wiped the whole group because they tried to dps instead of tanking. And i know this sounds extremely new to some people but DPS does not mean Tanking.

Do what you want with your game, so long as you do not bully another. If someone wants to suggest dps'ing fine, but the healer doesn't have to take it. Please get over it.
So in a situation where you don't even need to heal, you blow up on him because he expects you to not just sit around twiddling your thumbs?I got reported because I didn't do damage, as a healer.
I've been healing a9-12 normal regularly and the number one cause of wipes is the other healer does damage and puts all the healer pressure on me.
I do not dps as a healer. It is a choice I make.
Now I was doing a guildhest on an alt because i'm really bored with this game anyway and some dark knight goes and tells me to dps. I took it less than well and I told him off. Then he went off to tell me I was getting reported and proceeded to kill the stupid turtle.
I am not having a good day.
Cool story bro.

This is a selfish choice and not a fantastic one to make if you want to be an asset to your party.
For anyone wishing to continue the interminable healer DPS debate, we have more than one lively and over-long thread running in the Healer subforum.
My short answers are as follows...
1. Reporting people for not playing exactly the way you want them to is silly; reporting people for obstructive gameplay or abusive behavior is another matter. Getting into a fight because someone offered criticism isn't necessary the best option.
2. Healers who choose to be idle despite knowing how to play, knowing the fight, and being able to meet the healing requirement without difficulty are playing in a lazy and selfish manner. Great healers know when to heal and when to DPS, and they flip stances constantly throughout a fight as the situation develops.
I main a healer and when times i play a dd, healers i get rarely deal even a single dot.. they just jump around and heal every 12secs or so. Like what in the world? Do something helpful; whenever i go as a healer in a dungeon, i always press as much buttons as a dd- i help. Something others should do aswell. Use thise skills given to you, because youre being useless to the team. The reason I sometimes force myself to go as heal, is because i want our party to being progressing quick.. it's already a nuisance to be doing the same dungeons again and again. Reducing the time inside by 5+mins can make your group smile. Stop being a hindrance, you chose a healer to support your team- then support your team by helping them defeat monsters quicker, and press as much buttons as the dd and play in team.
i understand if you're a newbie, i would even gladly do every corners and defeat every enemies in the dungeon with you, but someone with 2-3+ level 60s and is just standing around? please no.

Healers are expected to DPS
Tanks are expected to DPS
But DPS doesn't have to worry about healing nor tanking.
Interesting game mechanic.
Also, who talks in a guildhest?

A good DPS offers utility. Eye for an Eye or Virus, for example, to aid in damage control. Shadowalker to transfer enmity, mantra to give healers more umph during intense healing moments, to name a few more.

A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.
