no i haven't healers are required to do 0 dps in any dungeon or raid for it to be completed, and dps requirements are relatively low compared to the average dps of the raiding community.
how does it not?! you are saying that they aren't meeting the threshold and the only reason they reached it was because of someone else, in which case they wouldn't be meeting the dps requirements which i am not talking about.
i don't know how else to say it other than the amount of dps some of the better players can do is way over kill for most content in the game.
i was only two letters and alittle punctuation off! lala's are allowed to make spelling/grammatical errors!

not at all! just lightening the mood!
we made be on opposite sides of a discussion but no reason to be mean!
not much to discuss if you are just looking to reply and just nitpick (which we all do here and there)
we all make mistakes!
That's the thing; it's not 920 potency completely missing from the run. It's 920 EXTRA potency. And it's great if you get it, but as I said before, it's not even factored into what "needs" to be put out in order to clear the content. I get wanting to play at your best, and I definitely get wanting the run to go faster, but if DPS are doing damage on par with or above what's expected, there's no damage that needs to be made up by the healer in that particular case.
Also, the whole "if you won't do your job properly, then I won't do mine properly" mentality needs to go away. Seriously. We're adults. Act like it. Taking avoidable damage on purpose because a healer won't dps, or out of some inane desire to FORCE them to perform their intended role? Dead DPS aren't doing their job either. So who's doing anything right at that point? What's being accomplished other than spitefully sabotaging your party's overall capability to get the job done?
Fact is, the moment you see the words "Light Party" or "Full Party" on screen, it's not about you and what you want alone anymore. And that goes both ways. For the people that won't do more where they have the ability to do so, and the people who would demand nothing less.
And there is no reason not to contribute that extra potency because it effectively slots in a third DPS. It wouldn't be particularly irksome if dungeons were in any way challenging. Unfortunately, they are not. As has been mentioned previously, if you opt not to DPS as a healer in Xelphatol, you will literally do nothing for upwards 80%.That's the thing; it's not 920 potency completely missing from the run. I know what will and will not kill me should I opt to take avoidable damage. Frankly, most trash mechanics are pitiful enough I can heal through it myself with Second Wind and Bloodbath. I won't lie and say it isn't petty, but I have done it when healers bounce around the map because that annoys me far more than their lack of DPS. It does get them to stop, I'll say that much.
A healers job is primarily to heal the party and keep everyone alive. When a healer has the time in between healing they should assist the dps to help speed things up or to help make up for a weaker dps member that doesn't have the good gear yet.
3 years later people still thinking Healers don't have to dps, lmao.
