Korean Server Merges

The Korean and Chinese servers are not run by SE. NEXON for Korea and Shanda Games for China.

It is kinda out of topic but everytime I read that FFXIV KR is run by Nexon it bothers me so much so here I go. What Nexon is doing with this game is channeling, not publishing.

FFXIV is still getting published by Eyedentity Games(formerly called Actoz Soft) which is a Korean company that Shanda owns.

Instanced housing can be moved with players from server to server at no detriment to server or player. Open world housing (poor design) has many more ramifications with player moves.

And not specifically you, BUT MY GOD if i see one more it's a lore decision.

Housing, linkshells, players names, FCs names, rankings are all server connected. They're losing more than just their houses.

Comes with a game centered around story. Yes, that is frustrating at times.

It's too far removed for me to actually garner pity. It sucks for them, but the way the post was presented seemed more it was, "Look at what SE is doing to kFFXIV, it can happen to us!" Considering how few people do any type of research at all, could quickly pull into fear and gossip of misinformation (just look at the Viera threads). Especially with the food for thought comment at the end; doesn't really appeal to feel sorry for them, only the fear that we're next.

You're right, my bad. I had seen that the website said Eyedentity, but so many had been saying it was NEXON, I actually went with the masses. I should have known better.
