I used to play when the PVP was pretty consistant at lvl 30 (I believe). PVP is my favorite part of most MMOs I've played. Since I came back I was and to find out below 60 is non existant. Since I'm only 3 lvls away now I was wondering If I should just jump straight into it or should I first focus on gearing up so I don't get totally swamped?

Lv60 pvp has an item level sync of 150, so you don't need very high gear. There's an event next week which will probably bring a large amount of first-timers so it will be a good time to get into it.

edit: oh and you don't need pvp-specific gear. long time ago they changed morale into just stacking with item level, so it doesn't have any special advantage now if your other gear is already enough item level.

My answer, honestly, is Yes and No.

Yes: If you are willing to listen to any directions given and follow your team, then experience will be your best teacher.

No: There are many beginner's guides available all around that will help you be prepared on a beginner-level of knowledge (I recommend PvPaissa.com or joining the Team Tryhard Discord server and asking questions in their #meta channel).

I'm far from an expert, but I'm willing to answer what I can if you have any burning questions
