    Update old pvp modes?

    Just came out of a Secure mode match which my roulette gave me.
    It's still a thing so I think they shouldn't stop improving it with minor adjustments.

    I think the main flaw is the one giant node which is worth so many points it almost invalidates the whole rest of the match. Unlike the more recent Shatter, it gives 100% of the node points to the team with the highest dps instead of splitting the points based on amount of participation.

    Simple fix, give points in proportion to contribution instead of all-or-nothing. Also wouldn't it be more fun to change the Limit Break into Adrenaline Rush to match all other frontlines modes and encourage it to be used more often, instead of everyone saving LB for the giant node to get all the points.

    lol I think I was in that match. I could agree with the LB thingy. In every secure match someone spontaneously use it, or just use it to troll. No matter how many times peeps are told, they still forget (or don't care).

    Secure 24 certainly could use some update instead of kill tower = win 9/10 + times.

    You can win without the central node. It's a very tight accomplishment and you're counting every point tick to do so, but makes for a great fist-pumping fun win robbery. Some of my favorite PVP moments are from 24 Secure and episodes like that.

    I think the problems of Secure/Slaughter comes from too much familiarity of new modes. Also now it's fun (and annoying) seeing jobs (mostly SMN and WAR) in lvl50 sync scratching their heads on rotation. 24 Slaughter, now, matches can get hilarious seeing the difficulty folks have in scoring kills.

    I also like Secure's traditional LB, as it counters the TDM incentive Adreneline Rush gives most players. AR wouldn't change center Node encounter except it would either die faster, or more likely: players would die faster from Stardust salvos and animation lock. LB the center node is often kamikaze due to the animation lock, massive splash AOE, and abundance of other teams sniping causing your death before LB finish. It should require a Healer cure-bombing the committed LBer (with Fetter Ward up) if other teams know wth they're doing. Really that center Node is the best PVP mechanic SE's made so far imho.

    Don't fix something not broken, but that's my opinion.

    edit: the update i'd would be having a bonus Tome/Mark reward for 1 mode, that shifts between the different modes every few days, letting the community get some variety. Also it might give some idea of which mode would have the most active queueing

    Yes I believe you were there lol. I was talking to my team just making sure people understood the scoring. Luckily we got the big node.

    It's a shame if a team does a lot dps, comes up only slightly behind the lead team but time spent hitting it is rewarded with 0 points.
    Alternative suggestion: keep winner takes all, but reward lower?

    tbh it's a map ill-suited to 24 player; long to travel base to base or climb the center without the jump pads that Slaughter has. At least in 72 we could split, have strong presence in multiple locations. I believe it allowed you to capture the ruins too instead of those being dead sides of the map, but it's been a couple years since Borderlands 72 happened on this datacenter ; ;

    I think they should make a lv60 version of the wolves den (fold), hardcore killer pvpers would love it, a do or die mode for pvp where only real fighters would jump in..i'd love it, and i'm sure many others.

    the lv50 den is not really popular nowadays cause "i have 5 less skill" LOL nubs xD

    Agree on the need to update secure. 72-man secures were still the funnest mode, if for nothing else...the balancing/spacing of teams. It wasnt just a mindless cluster f*** like shatter/seal are but teams had to place their members strategically among multiple points to defend/attack on more than 1 front. Will say I think adreneline would be a welcome addition though, especially with 3-4 healers sitting on 1 flag. Was nearly impossible to deal with with just 1 team LB.

    While thats true you can actually steal all ice points (300) without doing the actual dmg. If a team does 99% Ice dmg and you wipe/prevent them from hitting it it will lose aggro then you just do the last 1%.
