Instead of Sky, what about that giant airship the Empire is flaunting about? What if Sky = that airship, and we roam around collecting Key Items/Items to open doors to bigger bosses (just like how it was done in Sky). That would be neat-o imo.
entering echoes like we entered dynamisis would be cool too, end up fighting in wars from the past and stuff too. anything sky like though would be great no matter what the setting. just something with lots of farming, multiple bosses, pop items, main bosses and tons of gear and sets. danger lurking in all corners of the zone and just really fun place for large scale linkshell endgame. i just would kills to know what crystal towers will be like.
It would be cool if Crystal Tower had you start from floor one and fight your way to the top. Alos, I think roaming mini bosses should be added on each floor, as well as main bosses. Traps, mini puzzles, locked doors that need keys or certain requirements to be met in order to pass should all be added too.entering echoes like we entered dynamisis would be cool too, end up fighting in wars from the past and stuff too. anything sky like though would be great no matter what the setting. just something with lots of farming, multiple bosses, pop items, main bosses and tons of gear and sets. danger lurking in all corners of the zone and just really fun place for large scale linkshell endgame. i just would kills to know what crystal towers will be like.
Omg, think about a boss battle that you fight yourselves, and they mimic everything you do, so if your parties archer shoots the white mage, then their party does the same to your party. This would keep you on your feet, and double think every action.

Well then looks like it would be time to dust off the good ol' Megaton Hammer! :P
some form of platforming in dungeons. since we're getting jump, why not?
I wonder if it'd be technically possible for players to be able to create their own instanced dungeons for others to attempt.
For instance, they'd choose from a series of prefabricated maps, but lay monster spawners where ever inside and choose the level and mob types from a selection. Lay treasure chests which they can fill with items the creators supply for others to find. The dungeons would be retained for only a short time so not to weigh down the servers too much.
If it were possible, I think it'd be a pretty fun and unique thing to participate in. Might help keep the content somewhat fresher if there was always something different that you never know what you were going to get into available from the players themselves.
[instance]
they should mix thing up in every dungeon like you enter kill mobs get to boss like normal, next time you go in you should have to find a few items to open a new door indie the dungeon, the next time you go in should be boss is strong to something(fire element, slashing dmg, etc.) a few example on how to keep it fresh
[open world]
should be able to explore a big multi layer are full of different mobs( like FFXI dungeon, like crawlers nest, gustav tunnel, etc) and have areas to gather items like mining, botany, fishing. where you can find a spot and grind xp, areas where you can get keys to treasures. have NM's & HNM's roaming and poped
not every one like open world or instances and some like doing both and square should keep there focus equal in both sides of the game or there just going to lose the other side.
They tried that with the Moblin Maze Mongers, it was good...BUT...it lacked in terms of what you could do and what you could get in return.
However, this is XIV, therefore it seems like that idea could be expanded upon to give us an even better customization quality to the dungeon builder. Would be neat and just have the rewards /random?
I mean there would have to be rewards in order for people to want to do it.
What I want to see? A big dungeon complex like Glast Heim in Ragnarok.
