i enjoy it and have high hopes for the future, doesn't make me a moron, makes me an optimist, and i felt the message coming across was if you try and fail, give up.

nope they havn't and most the idiots in this thread don't realize the game already failed lol. will 2.0 rez ffxiv from the dead? idk hopefully but its not looking good.No it wont, and it is not because the game itself is bad, wish it is to a degree, but more importantly because SE does not know how to market their products, and develop them anymore, it will take a full 2 years from the release of this game, to when it is supposed to be "Release Worthy" that is 2 full YEARS! There is simply no excuse for that, even update's are coming at a snail peace, the game simply can not compete with modern MMO'S, aslo SE make's bad decisions like choosing to start charging at the same time SWOTOR comes out :/ Seems like they dint learn from their mistake of going againts wow last year :/

Azury, I am closer to your opinion than the others and I podcast about FFXIV! The biggest thing that is pulling me away from FFXIV is that most of my IRL friends will not play FFXIV which is "broken" to them. They are all playing SWTOR. TOR is a much more polished beta and the action is very fast paced. I don't think TOR and FFXIV compete, per se, but they do complete for my personal time. My plan is to play SWTOR until FFXIV 2.0 emerges and see what I feel like then.
When huttball is more fun than grinding on FFXIV, then you know what to do.
Probably, but it will not be very popular with the NA or EU crowd.
