Glamor Stacking

With the drop of PS3 support and the team working hard to give us more inventory and housing item slots, I think it would be a good time to bring this up again.

With there only being one set of gear at any given time that is "the best", the addition of new jobs and glamors, and the fact that clothing is important enough to have lore behind it, it would be nice to be able to stack glamors on one gear set. Do you all want to see something like that/think we're getting to the point the capability for it to be implemented is there?

It would be nice to see. That said I think we won't see anything like it till 5.0. Even if they started today, the way they have talked about it, they would have to build the system from scratch and that means a lot of time.

Still, if they are going to do something with the glamour system better to start sooner rather than later.

I want another type of glamour system. I have unified caster set glamoured with SMN-exclusive pvp set. But when I switch to BLM it shows default Shire gear so I look like a grey mouse. When I switch jobs 10 times per day it's inconvenient (and expensive because of multiple prisms) to switch glamour all the time too.

I'd really like to see a different system as well. I've always hated that my healers/casters/tanks area always looking the same, because they happen to be in the same set of gear. Like, bind the glamour pieces to the job not the gear. Should be a different tab for glamour, kind of like equipping another set of gear per job. Not sure how much work that actually requires though, but it'd be nice to see differences between casters/healers/tanks who more often than not share some of their gear pieces. :<

I would've preferred that glamours be executed differently. I forget who said it or the exact details of it, but I remember someone once suggested something like a glamour catalog, somewhere you could save glamour items and paste them over any gear you wanted at any time. Doing it that way you wouldn't have to hold on to gear you crafted/bought/obtained for those glamours (freeing up a LOT of inventory/retainer space).

Or at the very LEAST, isolate/link glamours to gear sets. Example- I have some healer boots that look like crap, but the stats are good so I glamour something over them for my WHM. But I want to use a different glamour for those boots on my AST. The current system doesn't allow that.

Even if it took a major rework of the entire system they could at least fix it in the short term by making more of the gear sets job specific like myth and esoteric. And not shared like lore and scripture.

At least then you'd be able to Glamourning your smn and your nlm differently because they wouldn't use the same Base gear.

What do you mean stacking glamours? Like I could glamour my goblinhood, as I do, and then glamour a helmet on that hood, so I can be a goblin wearing a helmet. I am very behind this.

At least then you'd be able to Glamourning your smn and your nlm differently because they wouldn't use the same Base gear.

And in the process gimp the performance of one of them because they need to resort to lesser, uncapped gear while bloating your inventory with an additional gear set. And then you might look better on your BLM, but don't want to bring it into content anymore.

Nah, full rework is the only real option here. Everything else is just switching one bad for another.

I'm thinking they meant the glamour stacking as in being able to have more than one glamour piece on a piece of gear, so jobs that were sharing gear would look different
