    Character Transfer Error

    Hello. So i recently bought a prepaid master card. As a payment method for my character transfer. Im trying to transfer to Balmung however i got an error 401. Is that error caused because of the lock and restriction on Balmung or is it caused by a problem with my card/payment method. Thanks

    With FFXIV, money talks. You should have been able to get in. Make sure you've met every conditional requirement they listed to prep your character, and if that doesn't work, then it could be something related to the payment. Or it could be that right now at this very peaked moment is the worst possible time of the day/week to be trying to transfer, and that you can give it another go later.

    Could you reccomend a time for me ? The payment should work. Brand new card bought this morning. Its currently 3 pm here. What day and time would work best in your opinion ?

    Make sure you are not selling anything on your retainers. Not part of a FC. And not in a residential zone. These are major things that can't be when transferring characters to another server.

    Also, on Mogstation, it should have told you this. And other requirements that needs to be met upon applying for a server switch application. Furthermore, it doesn't matter if there is restrictions on character creation or not towards this. Transfers bypasses this. However, the server cannot be full at the time of transferring.

    I kept getting an error doing the same and I finally bought Crysta with the credit card and paying for the transfer with it.
