That is the question everyone should ask when talking about XP...rather then we earning too much or too little XP...
which is exactly what i am talking about. if you cap all your classes and do the little end game there is to do you, and most everyone else, will leave. if they add enough content in the future then i see no issues making leveling easier then, but until then i believe it's a bad idea.

It would be the same issue regardless the problem is not the exp its the lack of content.

Lets say they change it and make it slower. instead of 1-2days people would be doing it and 5-7 days. instead of 1 month it would be 2 months. the only thing that will change is the time they max out. Just because it takes more time to hit max will not increase the life of the game. Why? There will still be no content for them to do once they get to the end. so you are putting in much more effort for virtually the same thing. no matter how slow you level or how fast you level. without content to do the whole idea is pointless.

You say that if people hit all their 50s they will leave for a game with MORE stuff to do.

I say that if it takes too long to hit their 50s people will leave for a game with FUN stuff to do.

At least my way is more honest. Yours is all about screwing players by passing an inflated grind for content.

    It's quality vs quantity

The dev team needs to figure out how they'll implement party lvling post 50 before touching the exp curve. I dont think this marauder meat grinder fest is the good nor desiered way to go from 50 to 99. Needs to be balanced according to all the new reforms.

XP should rather be normalized (a lvl 50 mob should give the same amount of xp whatever his type is) and linking needs to be ajusted. Again, before touching the xp curve.

It's rather pathetic that some people think grinding/leveling is your objective in mmo. So that lvling to cap is what they want to do and prefer a 4hr every day session to lv up a single class.

For me, I just hate grinding the same mobs over and over. It's just boring.

So people think dungeon or prime battles are end of game content? What about SE just add more contents like this to keep us busy for the 4 hr daily play time instead of grinding?
Come on, even add more nm around the world randomly would keep us happier. Like kill 3000 nm will reward you a relic

If they lengthen grinding time again. Then new comer for 1.2 will feel disconnected.

Some people also think that lvling is a way to learn the job. Ya, but it only takes at most a week to learn unless the majority of ff players are idiots

Some people need to feel like they are always succeeding so they do everything they can not to fail. In most cases they are not looking for the usage of the class so much as a few abilities not inherent to the class they are playing full time. A built in flaw of the armoury system. Kind of like leveling every sub job in FFXI that you can to exploit the best one in any given situation. Just apply this same logic to leveling almost everything in this game.

    2) Pling/fast exp rates as a whole cheapen the experience of the game. It is not about grinding or not grinding. You are missing out on meeting other people in game and learning the class you are playing. You also miss out on tactics you may or may not have seen before. Sure we all want to level quickly but half the fight in other MMO's is how to play as a team to better our gains. If the party aspect of this game is going to net more exp then teamwork should be the focal point of that. Exp chains were supposed to personify that but without BRs and the new way of combos they are putting it back on the individual to perform on their own rather than the group to perform as a whole. There are individual skill sets you learn for soloing and group skill sets you learn to compensate for one another in a party environment. The latter is sorely lacking in this game because most feel the need to be a "superstar".

    3) People are complaining about level 50 content. What about the other levels? Did you notice them as they zoomed by? More than likely you did not. I think when they eliminate guild related skills for guildmarks they should still leave the quests and add three more for each class. 1 for every 5 levels after 20...as limit breaks. Make them with a stretch though (ie. level 40 limit break can be done from levels 38-42 but must be done before you can reach 43). As it stands I can level any class to level 50 without ever going near the guild. That needs to change.

Ok to poke holes in this epic story of one mans journey

1 Yeah i kinda agree here

    2) I absolutely lawl meeting people really , No one other then JP use the weird ass party search system , now any time and every post i have seen only Linkshells make parties to grind out levels to make their stronger Now I have all ready meet my Linkshell members I dont think every party we make we meet again . So this is what i know meeting people i call shenanigans

it's rather pathetic that people would want to come into a multiplayer game and not group up to learn how to play their classes. if you want the easy way completion there are plenty of rpg's you can use cheat codes and get there.
