Becasue it's a fruitless search. Finding a middle ground does nothing but give people "Tollerance" it doesn't make them "pleased".
I do think about the community when I post, I think a slower leveling curve is benificial for everyone, again wether they really want it or not. It's a touph love aproach but it's how I am. I don't believe in "Everyone wins" scenarios because they don't exist.
Trying to please everyone just turns into the equivilant of "Giving everyone gold stars" a fruitless attempt to make everyone happy that fails everytime.
I do feel like the time I took to get my 2 rank 50 classes is made pointless because I refuse to power level I am "Behind" other players despite me actually putting effort into the game. I accept that I will never be as far ahead as powerleveling people and I enjoy the time I spend leveling my classes. It doesn't help but dull my victory when my extra effort has 0 advantages aside from being a good way to kill time.
I play MMO's so I can see the results of the time I invest, if I want quick and easy fun I play a normal game. I can't invest weeks at a time like I used to but I like to see the results of the time I spend reflect on my character and the server I play on.
Watching people "Skip" the hard part makes it feel like what I'm doing is pointless. Why does SE have to allow people to skip a important part of the game?
Like I said before if your going to do something, do it. If SE considers leveling a "Barrier" then they should remove it and focus the game on "Endgame" based solely on gear...I would love to see how many people who support Powerleveling would react if leveling was removed entirely.
Would be a different story I think, even now the illusion of leveling has a profound impact on the game even if it's been reduced to a few days time people will still cling to its importance. They just want to get to the top of the mountain as fast as they can.
If I had to use a analogy it would be like standing in a flat room, there is a staircase and a teleporter to "The other room" but once you get there it's the same flat room as before why even bother having a second room?
