I agree with the OP. There is no sense of accomplishment with getting your class to level cap in a matter of days, especially when there is so little end-game content and people stand around, bored, with no goals and nothing to do. Furthermore, I don't want to see this game turn into another MMO where 'Life Begins At Endgame'. The steeper leveling curve was one of the few things I liked about FFXI. Having a level 75 job used to really mean something in that game. It was about the journey, not the destination. I wanted to have that same feeling here.

Agreed. Where are the leveling options we were promised? Especially quest-based leveling? If we had more of this, the journey would be much more entertaining and fulfilling, and we wouldn't have to worry about so much of the grind.

This journey you guys keep talking about is made up by you. You can choose how fast you level and when/where to level.
by saying taking longer to get to a cap in a game equals better accomplishment is rather ridiculous when its something you yourself controls.

The problem with the journey you ask for is not the leveling but the simple lack of any type on content.
If we had much more content then there would be much more to do then just leveling and people wouldn't level as fast would they?

Having something max level on a game is great congratz to you but not everyone feels the same way. it took me 6 months to level ranger to 75. 4 days to level bard. I felt bard was a much bigger accomplishment doing it so fast with XI's horrid grind. But that's what I felt. It would be very selfish of me to ask everyone else to level that fast to feel what i felt wouldn't it?

There are many Leveling options you just choose not to do them. Its all a grind even quest. go here kill this run back rinse repeat. the longer it takes to do the more grind it becomes.

So everyone who keeps asking them to lower it stop being so selfish and trying to force everyone to play the way you think/feel we should. You have the choice to level as fast/slow as you wish.
