    Ya but not everyone does it and it not like people would go and party slower. it feel mess up to make other level slower but it's a new mmo you can't make people level to max at the start of the game.

    Maybe 4-5years down the road but not 1year of release

    So your reasoning is that people simply shouldn't be able to reach the higher levels easily? Explain, please. I fail to see how this is a better idea than allowing both parties to benefit with no negative aspect.

    I've said this in another thread but it just doesn't seem to occur to people who make these kinds of threads.

    The rate of exp is the result of a complex situation that began with the release of a faulty shell of a game in 2010.

    After the disastrous release, Yoshida and crew decided the only way to really fix this game was to design a new engine and server structure. But at the same time Square Enix didn't want to shut down one of their flagship titles in fear of losing what player base it already had. So they made a promise: stick around and we'll make things right.

    So for a year, all people did was level, as that's all there was. Now SE is ready to deliver some content, but resources for 1.x are limited. With this in mind, they made the decision to focus on level capped content while recycling identical content for low and mid levels.

    This is the reason why they had to make it so easy to level. They're designing content which will be wiped away in the next year, but want as many people to pay subscriptions as possible -- including those who may have not yet started. But what's the point in trying to get to play content designed for capped characters that is going away in less than a year if it takes three to six months or more to even get to cap?

    Pretending XIV is like any other MMO is silly. They have to design to keep happy both new players and those with multiple level 50 classes to keep them all around long enough to keep chasing the 2.0 carrot on that year-long stick.

    An arduous, lengthy leveling process won't add anything for those who spent the past year leveling everything they care to. It will only serve to deter those who have yet to start from trying the game prior to the release of 2.0.

    I don't necessarily have an issue with the amount of exp you can get in a party, because getting 8 people together is hard at times. I am sure SE will nerf it sooner or later.
    I do have an issue with the soloing exp, which absolutelly went to crap after 1.19.

    SE is forcing people to party now, thanks to everyone that complained about that btw, but now people are complaining it is too fast.

    Solo exp should be decent and not impossible, while party exp can stay the way it is if SE thinks they can push out enough content for people not to get super bored.

    I like the current lvling pace I have been lvling my con @ my own pace for like 1 month and I'm fine with that, and lower lvl exp is not fast only the higher lvl exp.

    It is perfect the way it right now and they already said it is to their liking and they have no plans to change it. If you want something different solo some leves or play a different game. People need to quit thinking because it is Final Fantasy MMO that it has to take a year to level anything up like it was back in the day of FFXI. No thanks I am glad that is gone. All the game needs now is more content for r50 stuff and it will be good to go.

    Here's a thought, play wearing only Hempen Clothes and copper gear, want crap hardcore? make it more hardcore for yourself, don't screw over people that are having fun just because hurrrtiseasydurr
